Sustainable targets and achievements

Everyone at CRL Foods is highly focused on meeting the highest standards of ESG required by our customers, investors and end users.

In order to meet these exacting requirements we moved all production to aluminium cans in 2021 in order to minimise packaging waste and maximise recycling.

In addition, although sterilised and pasteurised ambient beverages have a low energy footprint during storage, they have traditionally required significant energy and water usage during processing. Our patented continuous retort is expected to reduce energy consumption by up to 60% and water usage by 75% when it is commissioned in early 2024.
